Day 8 - Saturday, 29 April 2000
After breakfast our bus took us to the nearest Metro station. Strangely no photos can be taken in or around the subway. We left the subway at the station by the large Corsu Market.
Tashkent Market
Here are four favorite images that I took away from the large market in Tashkent.
After visiting the market we went to lunch then on to
the Applied Arts museum. The museum was delightful. I was particularly
impressed by this vase.
We returned to the hotel about 3:30 for a rest. Then we all went to the opera for a performance of "Carmen."
